A couple of things stand out to me. First, just because you've known someone a long time doesn't mean they're your friend. THIS woman isn't your friend. I don't buy for a second that she's unaware of what she's doing. She's levelling, she is pushing you down to make herself feel better. Anyone that brags that much about how super perfect everything in their lives is is generally completely full of shit. I don't buy it, not for a moment. There's a deep, deep insecurity in this woman from the way you describe her. I think I hate her too.
