A lot of the 2000s tv was an extension of what I grew up with in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Will they, won't they, insert kid here. I'm a little older than you, I'm 52 and I could go on and on. My biggest pet peeve has long been the hot/smart dichotomy, as if a woman can't be both. Even with TBBT, they painted Penny as the hot one, but heaven forbid they make her smart, accomplished, etc....nope, they settled on "sneaky smart" later in the series. Oh lord....I could go on for days...
