A Publisher Wants To See More
I’m so excited I don’t know whether I should cry or throw up or do a little happy dance! Maybe all of the above, I don’t know.
Many of you who follow me know I’ve been working on a novel. Here’s a peek at the first chapter (well, a draft of it, anyway):
A while ago, I submitted the first 3 chapters to a publisher willing to accept un-agented submissions. And yes, it IS a reputable publisher, I’m not an idiot.
I heard nothing. And more nothing. Weeks turned into months. Nothing. The publishing industry isn’t exactly quick. I had almost given up. I mean why would they want anything from little old me?
Then, an email. It came while I was having a nap because in the afternoons, it’s been too hot to do much else. I must have been sound asleep because usually I hear my phone “ding” as soon as an email comes in.
