Allison, thank you for writing this! I just weighed in with a commenter, and I won't repeat it all here. Suffice to say, I'm a product of an interracial union and I'm also a retired lawyer. I'm Canadian, but, the common law system is the common law system. The fear is actually pretty real. Remote, maybe? But I can see someone doing it, challenging Loving and then the court devolving it to the states, the way things are going...yeah. Those that say no, to my mind, don't understand the workings of the legal system.
