And I think that's it right there, context. When I read the title of your story, I was ready for a fight. i was saying to you, in my head, "Buckle up, Bonnie..." Then I started reading.
Why was I initially up in arms? Because I've been accused of flirting with men, of "asking for it," so to speak, when all I was doing was being a normal friendly person trying not to be rude. Hello doesn't mean, "hey, big boy, fuck me," pretty much, well, ever. If I'm grabbing coffee for my coworkers, I'm grabbing for all of us and that includes the fellas, and that isn't a come on. You get the idea.
But, then, I read on...tada, context! I didn't hear of this incident, but from what you wrote, the guy went outside the terms of his contract, that's called breah of contract and that's cause for dismissal. Add to that he's in a position of power, judging someone in a televised competition and sends a private message like that? Even if it wasn't flirty, it was inappropriate at worst and ill-advised at best.
It seems we still have a long way to go as a soceity. SMH
