As a woman, and admittedly a decently attractive one, I can attest to the fact that we are not all looking for tall, fit and conventionally attractive, especially as we grow up. Sure the hot guy, captain of the whatever sports team is great when you're 17, not so much when you're 30 or more.
I like men that are taller than me, but that's never been a problem as I'm only 5'4". Looks are more subjective, but I can tell you that my husband is chubby, and when we met, he was more than chubby. Confidence, intelligence (smart is really hot!), and shared values matter more than whether he's gorgeous. I'll take a smart, decent 5 over a moronic 9 any day of the week as long as we click.
