Back in my day (I started university in 1989), we used to joke about Arts degrees..."what does a BA graduate say? Do you want fries with that." Hahahaha. I started out as a business major and fell in love with Psychology and switched programs. Then I went on to Law School.
The thing about a BA, and I would guess, Gender Studies, are they teach one to think critically, to evaluate and and approach matters from a variety of angles. Not to mention, they teach us to write properly. These are invaluable skills in any workplace.
