Back when I was in high school, this so called quiet quitting was called work to rule and teachers did do it. In 1989, the Teachers Union in my province voted in favour of a strike. Before walking out and in an attempt to keeps kids in class, they went on a work to rule campaign. That meant they showed up, they taught their classes. That's it, that's all.. No conferences, no extra-cirricular activities, not drama club, no sports, no dances, no field trips. pretty much exactly what you describe here. I guess my point is, this "quiet quitting" thing is hardly new, which us old folks know. As always enjoyed reading your story. :)
