Believe it or not, this isn't the first time I've heard of someone lying in an obituary. when my ex-husband's school friend died, the obituary described him as a dedicated family man who lived for his wife and children, who were, of course everything to him. It would have been fine if they left it there but they carried the lie further with some nonsense about his commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

The reality: the serial cheater, who divorced his wife, never saw his kids and was shacked up with an 18 year old died in a car wreck he caused by being coked out of it and drunk as hell. I guess that doesn't sound as good in print, eh?
