Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. Happy Passover to those that celebrate that. I don’t really celebrate anything, so for me today’s just another day, but with the inconvenience of the stores being closed.

Do you celebrate Easter?

I guess I’ve answered her question. But I can’t leave it there. I’m a writer. So, I’ll write.

I have nothing against Easter, per se. I used to celebrate it. I did the hunting for eggs and sitting on the bunny’s lap and ate the chocolate and all that. And when my kids were young, I hid their stuff and did all the things everyone else did.

It was never a spiritual or religious thing for me though. Sure, as a kid I went to Sunday School and church. I was raised Baptist. But I was never a believer. I don’t remember a time in my life when I truly…
