Even More Puzzling People At The Dog Park

Sometimes, You Just Gotta Wonder…

See that picture? That’s my Rudy. He turned 8 months old yesterday and that’s him at the dog park after 2 hours of play, refusing to leave. If he could have kicked and screamed like a toddler, he would have. But he can’t. So he does what he can; he plops his 70+ pound body down, knowing full well that at slightly more than 2/3 of my weight, he can’t be budged.

Rudy loves the dog park. He loves playing with other dogs and meeting all the humans. I, on the other hand, love meeting the dogs but the humans… not so much.

Pet parents can be a funny breed (pardon the pun) and after spending some time around them, you start to notice certain “types.” I wrote about this earlier:

But alas, I’ve been to the park many, many times since then and guess what? There are more “types” at ye ole city dog park.

It’s funny, but that simple fenced-in area is a veritable microcosm of society. Society and I are somewhat at odds right now, so forgive me if some of what I say sounds a bit snarky. I…
