Finally! Someone else who gets it! I wrote about this over a year ago and got a lot of flack. I was married to my ex for 13 long, hard years. My parents' marriage was a disaster. But, hey, marriage is hard word.
Bullshit. I've been married to my former high school sweetheart for almost 9 years now. It's easier than falling off a log. You know why? Because we love and respect each other. We genuinely like each other and want to be near each other. If he's an ass, I tell him. If I am, he tells me. We love and appreciate each others' strengths and weaknesses. It's not hard at all, when it's the right person.
