First thing, let's not get it twisted, I don't pass as white. As a gay man, one would think you'd understand that language matters. I present as white. It's what I look like, it's not a thing I try to do. There's a whole history surrounding passing. Look it up.

Umm, no. Cute how you try to dissect my words, but I'm not the girl to play semantics with. White people in America and Canada did indeed have African slaves (and also Indigenous slaves), that's a fact. Nobody alive today is responsible for that, they weren't there. My ancestors on the white side of my family are absolutely culpable. I am very literally descended from the slave and the master.

It's cute how you try to create some issue where there is none. I've made it abundantly clear that I identify as neither and both. I'm not Black. I'm not white. I'm mixed race, end of story. You know exactly what I'm saying but you want to play word games to pretend you don't.

What I'm saying is there's no reason for white folks to wring their hands and hate themselves. It serves no purpose. It's a social media, virtue signalling thing, a silly trend that does nothing at all. But you already know that.

I will not stop with race. It's an issue. It's an issue in my community It's an issue in my family. You telling me to stop with race would be like me telling you to stop with sexuality. How many times did you tell me you were gay in your response? It's part of who you are, and there's no reason you should stop or shut up about that. Race is part of who people are. It just is. My point, and again, you know exactly what I was saying is there's no need for self-hatred or falling all over oneself for being white. There are white people, there are people who aren't white. It's time to come together to end bigotry in all forms and the bullshit I'm calling out just doesn't serve that goal.

If you'd like to have a real discussion, I'm open, but don't come up in my comments with BS, thinking you can twist my words, play semantics and all this "why can't we just stop seeing colour" crap and think you won't be called out. I welcome all folks, but I also call out all flks who need it.
