For me, it's an individual choice. I used to read the earnings stories, at the beginning, when I was new and sort of feeling out whether this was a place where it was possible to make money or not. I think it might be useful in that context. That being said, I don't read them any more because I have a better sense of things and know my earning potential here.
I choose not to write about my earnings. It's a personal choice based on my own hang-ups or whatever. I don't do it for the same reason I don't add Ko-Fi to my stories, |'m uncomfortable with it. What can I say, I'm a product of my raisin'. But I don't begrudge others that do so.
All that said, it was good to read a counter-perspective to the popular "don't do it" argument.
