A few thoughts. I used to be solely book smart too. I can do math and I can learn anything if there's a book, except computer coding and anything spatial. That said, you are spot on when it comes to intelligence vs education. some of the biggest morons I've ever met were at law school or in possession of the said degree.

Street smart, I wasn't. I sure am now. When life kicks you in the ass long enough, you develop a keen sense of your surroundings and the people in them.
