High School Not So Confidential
I’ve been seeing an awful lot of stories about writers’ high school days. Apparently, there’s some sort of challenge circulating. I’m not sure where it started, but I just read Teisha LeShea’s response and thought I’d do my own. here’s her’s:
And without further adieu, here’s mine:
What was the year you graduated?: 1989
Did you carpool?: No, I took the bus and I hated it.
What kind of car did you drive?: None, I didn’t get my license until I was 32. Driving scared the shit out of me.
It’s Friday Night football- were you there?: No. My high school didn’t have a football team back then. And nobody really cared. I grew up in Atlantic Canada, that’s hockey country and we had a pretty awesome hockey team.
I may have gone to a game or two, but mostly I didn’t. I wasn’t cool enough for that.
