I agree with you. I can't watch the news much myself. I'm very aware of my privilege, I'm also very aware of how it can be taken away when it's found out that I'm not white. I look white, but I'm mixed-race. My birth mother was white, my bio dad was Black, and I was adopted by his brother and sister in law (both Black) in the 70s and 80s.
I'm not likely to be subject to the brutality depicted in those videos, but my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc are. To be bombarded by that possibility all the time is overwhelming for me and honestly, not constructive.
