I came up in the 70s and 80s. I was mixed race, scrawny and bullied mercilessly. The one thing that wasn't there was social media. I could go home and escape. There were no bullies invading my bedroom.
The loss of a child, especially one so young and in such a tragic way likely leads the parents to look for reasons and to assign blame. They need something to make it make sense.
It doesn't make sense. The parents should have been on it. The school should have been on it. The community should have been on it. I'm not a fan of Hiliary and I've met Bill (a story for another day) but it really does take a village, especially now.
