I don't think you're fundamentally unlikeable at all. I think you're just you and some people can't handle that. Your intelligence and honesty intimidate them. That's on them. I used to try too hard because I felt like my lack of friends was a shortcoming that needed changing. And then every single one of those "friends" ended up fucking me over in one way or another. So, yeah, I'm guarded. I'm cool with it. I have a friend. He's my best friend. I married him. See also my puppy.

I also don't do well with people wanting my time. Friends have a way of wanting to come over or to do stuff. More times than not, I don't want any of that. And I don't want to have to feel bad when Sally or Betty want to go out and I don't. When I'm done working and stuff, I just have nothing left.
