I enjoyed your story. It's natural, I think to feel pride and a deep sense of attachment and loyalty to the country and city you grew up in. Russia is a beautiful country, full of beautiful proud people. Putin is not Russia. Putin is not you. Putin is an evil man with evil ambitions which do not represent the people.
