I get it. I was "ugly" too. You're obviously younger than me, but I also consulted Seventeen and saw thin white women. I was thin, but with frizzy hair and no boobs. I was strange looking and ugly. Being mixed race I never saw anyone like me.
And yeah, school, the real world was what told me who and what I was. I had the brains but not a lot else.
I'm never going to be a copy and paste girl, or as my mother used to call them, the girls with 3 names and no ass.
Somewhere around 40, maybe 30, it changed. And now at 51, I'm beautiful because, girl, after all of it, I'm still above ground. You are beautiful. You are smart. You are awesome.
