I have so many conflicting feelings about this. I'm glad she did what she did because you're here, that doesn't mean it was morally the right thing to do. But people aren't perfect and we do what we do at the time.

As a biracial child with questionable fatherhood, I found it damaging not to have those answers, not to have someone to look at that could make me make sense. I'm sure that's not something she ever considered. It's hard enough growing up mixed race, especially during the 70s, 80s and 90s, but adding a phantom father to the mix....

I give her props for finally telling you the truth, it's more than I ever got and it had to have taken courage. And I give you props for your willingness to forgive and heal.
