I kinda get what you're saying. I too, was always interested in the pure, unvarnished truth. My motto was, and to some degree, still is, that I can deal with the truth, whatever it is, but I can't do anything with lies or sugar coating.

That being said, I've also, at times found myself incredibly envious of those that are able to walk around blissfully ignorant. It's like thier ignorance is a warm blanket that protects them and keeps them warm from the truth that weighs on us. Oh, shit...there's another story I should write....Jesus, Jimmy....you're inspiring the hell outta me over here.....:)
