I love this and am almost tempted to send it to some men I know. I'm not a man, obviously. I'm a woman and one that's been hit on by way more men than she cares to count. I've turned most of them down throughout my life. Why? Well because, at least for me, a handsome face and a hot body are great to look at, but shiny things fade quickly.
It's not that hard to get a woman's attention, speaking for myself. Talk to us, we're people, actual people. Creepy lines and trying to be too cute are a turn off. As is desperation, like you said.
When I met my husband, he was a struggling, self employed artist. I was a successful lawyer. He was close to 400 pounds. I ... well, I looked like me. And he was and still is the hottest guy I've ever met. Why? Because he's respectful and passionate and intelligent. Never underestimate the power of intelligence as a aphrodisiac. I just love a man with a big...brain. :)
