I love this, you just got a new follower. I look white. I'm not my dad is Black. I'm very light skinned, but I have full lips, crazy curly hair and well...the booty area gives me away.
And I am so grateful for my heritage. It's the Black women in my life that gave me strength. It's that side of the family where I learned, or maybe internalized perseverance, hard ass work and the survival instincts I needed to raise 3 boys on my own, go back to school get 2 degrees and become a lawyer all while working for shit wages.
Femininity is way more than softness. It's confidence, it's love it's courage and strength. It's not weakness.
From my experience the Black woman is as soft as any other, that softness is just not as publicly obvious...we leave that shit for behind closed doors, because we have to. No joke, it's a matter of survival.
