I loved your story and I kinda get it. I'm not exactly trans-racially adopted, but I am a very white presenting biracial child who was adopted into a Black family. Oddly enough, they never taught me anything about Black history aside from not to forget I wasn't white.

There's a strange headfuck, for ack of a better word that comes from being adopted into a family where no one looks like you. There's nothing to control, there's a lack of belonging that most kids take for granted. There's no sense of grounding that makes us feel like we make sense, no father's temper or mother's eyes.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm looking forward to reading more.
