I read an old book back in the day, "Black Like Me.' That said, you're exactly right. Putting on a suit, dressing up does nothing. First, it's disrespectful, even if it's well-meaning, it's just....not. But secondly, these folks can never walk a day in the shoes of a person of colour. Okay, they can paint themselves and experience racism for a second. So? Big fucking deal. They don't live with the generational trauma. They don't have slavery, racism, a lack of financial resources and opportunity embedded into their DNA. They can't speak on what they don't know. They shouldn't. That's just another Rachael Dolezal type coopting the Black experience for their own gain. It's reprehensible.

As you know, as a mixed race white presenting woman of colour, I have been very hesitant to speak on race. I'm well aware of the privilege my pretty white face affords. But I also know what lives inside of me. You were one of the first to welcome me.

But fuck this guy and his stupid book.
