I try hard not to engage in "what ifs," and I'm much better at that now than I was when I was younger. I do feel her presence in ways, but it's hard to feel a presence when you never knew a person, if that makes sense.

The way I feel her presence now is mostly in our similarities. You can't see it here, but I resemble her quite a bit and moreso than any of my siblings. And from what I was told by her older sister, who at 95 is alive and sharp as a tack, we are very similar in personality, bright, but often with too big a heart that leads us toward the wrong people and places.
