It narrated the behaviour of a stalker. ‘Every breath you take / Every move you make / I’ll be watching you!’ Sting, to this day, can’t believe how a song could take a completely different shade among listeners, from what it was originally intended to be.

I was/am part of that generation and honestly, I couldn't believe no one seemed to get what this song was about. I figured it out and I was 12, it was kind of obvious. Loved your story, btw. :)
