I wasn't able to, the Humane Society where I live rejected my application because I live in a condo (they wanted to place him in a home with acreage). Never mind the fact that I have his brother here and he's perfectly happy and healthy and goes out for fresh air and exercise a minimum of 3 hours per day (walks, 2 trips to the dog park every day, etc).

Then, he was surrendered by the family that adopted him after I wrote this. They surrendered him back in June. I tried again. No luck, they have "policies." I understand why they do, I just would have appreciated it if they'd looked more at my individual circumstances rather than simply my choice of dwelling.

So the poor thing was dumped twice. Broke my heart.
