If You’re Going to Yuk It Up With Me…
I love stand-up comedy! I’m one of those people who like to sit in the front row and be made part of the show. Yeah, I’m that girl. So when Keeley Schroder asked:
Who is your favourite comedian and why?
I knew I was all over it!
I’ve been part of the show. Back in 2009, my ex and I went to the Stardome Comedy Club in Birmingham, Alabama. The first night, we saw some guy who was okay, and my ex marveled at the size of the plate of nachos he ordered. Seriously, it was the size of a 16-inch pizza but a huge mound. Did I mention I don’t care for nachos?
But whatever. The tickets were like 5 bucks. On the way out, I noticed a sign. It was for the next night’s show, but the tickets were $15 each. Apparently, it was some kid that came second on Last Comic Standing.
We’d seen pretty much all Birmingham had to offer, so why not?
And we went. The act turned out to be Ralphie May. That kid was large and in charge! He was hilarious, and after meeting him after the show, a super nice guy too!
But, is he my favourite comedian? He’s one of them.
