I'll take your points in reverse order, sort of. But before I do, clever little phrases like "textbook absurd logic," and "pretendy fun-time games" are not arguments. Insults are the province of a person with no argument.
Do Black people have white privilege? Do Brown people have it? Those aren't serious questions. Of course, they don't. You read my definition of white privilege, it's a way of experiencing the world and the world experiencing you. If you don't look white, you're not going to have white privilege.
I'm waiting for your next attempt at an argument...what about affluent Black people? What about Oprah and Obama and Jay-Z...this should be fun.
No there aren't white people that don't have white privilege. They're fucking white. Kinda the point. But that doesn't mean they're "privileged" in the economic or social sense. I already explained that. There are marginalized white people. There are white people who struggle every day and those challenges are every bit as real as anyone else's.
Again, you're erecting paper tigers. It's amusing, it's not an argument.
You brought up whites who've been marginalized throughout history. I didn't. That makes my Scottish/Irish heritage relevant as I'm well aware of those facts. My lineage as a biracial person is absolutely relevant and you know it. What's more relevant to a discussion of white privilege than a person who has actually seen both sides?
I don't know how old you are, but I'm damn sure you weren't around during settlement times either. You stepped into the time machine, not me. Oh, and you never answered the question about driving while Irish? Funny how a question that's on point goes ignored, isn't it?
As to my lumping people into my conclusion....you note I said new world, right? I never once claimed this was a worldwide phenomenon.
If you want to continue this pseudo-intellectual non-argument that doesn't advance anything, feel free, it's exposing your ignorance, not mine, and fuck it, I get paid by the read, so come on over and do that all day long. I work from home.
Oh, while I'm at it....you mentioned Canada as a perfect example of your point. I'm Canadian. I've lived in Canada my entire life. My family's been here since my 6th great-grandfather, Paris O'Ree escaped a SC rice plantation at 15, joined the British in the American Revolution, and gained passage to NB (then NS) as a result. So, please don't lecture me about Canada.
