I'm also mixed. My mother's family was white, Irish, Scottish and English. My dad was Black, Nigerian, Congo, Western Bantu, etc. I am what you would call white presenting. I look pretty much white.

But I am not white and I never was. I'm both. I'm a child of Europe and a child of Africa and I am proud of both. I'm currently working on a book about my ancestor, a stolen African who wound up on a SC rice plantation and ran at 15.
