I'm sure you're not "fugly". I have PTSD as well (from being stalked, but that's an entirely different article) and I'm sure it has something to do with my not feeling safe when approached in the manner I describe. That being said, it's not the entire reason. I'm so sorry you're going through such a difficult time, PTSD is awful and the need to hide is real too. I spent about a month avoiding any outside interaction, but I've slowly been getting better over the past 8 years. I still have days where a long line or a crowd is just too much and I give up and come home. In any evert, here I am babbling on and on.
