I'm thin. Always have been, always probably will be and I will admit, I become uncomfortable when people start criticizing stars that have lost weight. I do understand there's been a prevailing narrative for ages about what a woman should look like, and that was unfair. But, at least to me, it's also unfair to swing the pendulum back the other way.
Do we all have the luxury of running to the gym 3 times a day, of course not. I actually applaud Adele for being honest and upfront about how her affluence makes it easier for her. I thought she was beautiful as a big girl, and I think she's beautiful now. Her choices about her body and health are hers. I get what you're saying, you want to see some bigger ladies out there just owning it and loving it. But if Adele wasn't there, she wasn't there.
I can't really comment on Billie Eilish, I know nothing about her, but hey, she's young and if she wants to show some skin, have at it! Hell, if I were young and attractive again, I would.
I'm a middle aged broad with tons of stretch marks, a tiny waist, no boobs and a big ass, so what do I know (except, like what you noted about your husband, mine loves every inch of me)? That being said, I very much appreciate the conversational and discussion-oriented tone your article took because to my mind, nothing gets resolved unless open discussion can take place with mutual respect and understanding on both sides.
