I'm watching that Sam Harris video now. I'm sort of a mid to soft determinist, I think. I don't beleive in a higher power, but there are certain internal and external factors that limit our choices. Genetics is one. I can choose to be 5'10" all day long, it's never going to happen. I can choose to sing, but I'm never going to do it well. But I can choose, to some extent to make what I can of what I do have, if that makes sense.
