It's classic "Bob" to marry a young pretty girl from another country. I'm sure he thought she was not only docile, but also would be forever grateful to him for "rescuing" her and therefore would have to love him forever. But therein lies the problem, when one reduces people to objects and relationships to little more than a transaction, well, it's not going to work out that well.

Those story ideas, if I may be so bold, are things I've addressed previously. On finding my high school sweetheart again, I refer you to the following:

And on why I left law, I refer you to my MWC Work challenge entry:

Yes, I get what you're saying about digging in and doing the research. As for women trying to find a good man or vice versa, I'm no expert, aside from the fact that I've made pretty much every mistake known to humanity, and some more than once. That being said, I think people make 2 main mistakes in looking for someone, First, they're looking for the fairy tale we've been sold of someone to complete them. That doesn't exist. You have to be complete in yourself first. If you're not complete and comfortable with yourself, you'll attract and settle for less and end up with a string of failed relationships. It's not 2 halves coming together to make one whole; it's 2 whole people coming together to become 2 whole people working together.

Secondly, at least from my observations, some people have an awful lot of criteria that are really, well, quite frankly, unrealistic. Not everyone is going to get a young Jimi Jameison's face on Shemar Moore's body, who is also filthy rich, sweet, kind and reads poetry or whatever the female equivalent would be for those that like the ladies. There's no perfect person. Case in point, my current husband, when young, was what one could call gorgeous by society's standards. Fast forward 30 years later and he's an overweight middle-aged guy. He isn't rich, he's an artist. But he's all mine! Not perfect, but perfect for me.

Hope you got some uninterrupted sleep. :)
