I've never dieted, I'm one of "those people" that have been naturally thin all their lives. That said, my husband isn't. He lost over 150 pounds by just eating real food, he cut out the processed and fast foods and focused on just you know, food, veggies, fruits, grains, meat, fish.
But he also had treats. If he wanted cake, he had some damn cake. If he wanted takeout one night, so what. Strict deprivation is what causes the binge cycle, as far as I've witnessed.
Nobody has the right to comment on what you eat. Sorry, but if their lives are that small that they need to comment on what you're eating to make themselves feel good, they need to look at the choices they've made in life. Don't beat yourself up and don't let anyone else do it either. Life isn't a success only journey for any of us.
