Lawyers can serve on juries in the US? Seriously? I find that odd. Here in Canada, that's an automatic disqualifier. So is being a cop or a trustee in bankruptcy...basically anyone who knows the law. My understanding from law school is because it's supposed to be "a jury of one's peers," and our legal education and experience makes us...well not.

That said, I enjoyed your story, and it gave me a good giggle.
