Like you, I am NOT the person to ask if you really don't want an honest opinion. Most people on social media are just looking for likes and to be told how great they are and posts like Sally's, in my experience, are almost always just someone looking for compliments.

I belong to a few writing groups on Facebook and it's the same. People ask for an honest assessment of something they've written. Ugg! Some of it is utter shit, I mean, really, really bad. Yet, so many folks comment things like, "Brilliant!" "Love this," and "So good."

At this point, unless I know a person very well and know for sure they really are looking for an honest opinion on whatever it is they're asking about, I keep it moving.
