Livin’ La Vida Rudy
You wouldn’t think a 50-year-old woman could learn much from a puppy, but you’d be wrong.
See that sleepy boy? That’s Rudy, my 7-month-old mutt. Well, he’s almost 8 months old now. For those of you that follow me, you know he’s a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenese mix that’s full of energy and mischief.
He’s added so much to my life in the 4 months we’ve had him and has really reminded me of what’s important.
It’s so simple being a dog. It’s so hard being a human.
Recently, I’ve been going through what I suppose one could call a mid-life crisis. I’ll be 51 in a couple weeks and kinda feel like I have no idea who I am, what I want to do and where I fit in this world without reference to other people. I’ve lived most of my life as an appendage to others. Without them, I’m left without any sense of self.
