Love this! My husband and I have both worked as extras on films up here in Canada. Oddly enough, Northern Ontario is a pretty popular location. We have yet to see ourselves on camera as the first film, which my husband is in and plays, "fat guy at buger joint" (as if that's not cliche enough, right?) isn't scheduled for release until early 2023.
The pay wasn't great. It also wasn't horrible. But Lord Jesus, was it all boring! The waiting around, the cold food, ugggg! That said, the actual Kraft Services (the food to actually eat) was good.
When I was in high school, I wanted to move to LA and become a soap opera star, a femme fatale that men died for. That never happened and now I'm too old, but College Professor #2 or Mom of someone seems to work...but no speaking parts.
I'm glad we tried it, it's one more tick off the bucket list, but ya, I think I'm good now.
Loved your story. Boy, you sure did live a life and a half, didn't you? Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.
