Love this! So many men, especially ones in my age group (45 and up) need to hear this. games don't work. Nobody "deserves" a hottie. These disgruntled fellas who whine about it all day long just make me want to whine.
I've dated hot guys. I've dated not so hot guys. Hell, I was, for a time, the trophy wife (I DO NOT recommend it, just sayin').
You know what gets a woman interested, intelligence, integrity, a sense of humour, stuff like that.
When I met my husband (well, met him for the 3rd time), he was almost 400 pounds and a struggling artist. I was, well, not that. And guess what? It was love at 1st, err, 3rd sight. Money's nice, but like you say, beyond basic needs, it's not a huge thing. Looks are nice, but looks is so subjective and you just never know who you might be attracted to.
After all that babbling, I guess what I'm trying to say is men would do a lot better in finding a mate if they saw and approached us as people, not objects.
