A Poem About Love

Our bodies lie serpentine
naked,
one against the other,
In the dark of night.
I inhale deeply,
Willing myself deep inside your core,
Allowing your essence to envelop me,
To wrap me in the warm safety
of your heart.
I dare not move
Lest I break the spell,
Magical, mythical, yet all too real,
My one,
My only,
My love.
