I’m just going to say it. I love Australia! I’m Canadian but I’ve never felt more at peace and more at home than when I spent almost a month down under.

My dream in life, you know the one I’ll never afford to fulfill is to move there.

I fell in love with Oz in 1978 when I watched Grease and decided Olivia Newton-John was the most beautiful woman on the planet.

Then as a teenager, I watched Home and Away, an Aussie soap opera I was obsessed with in the late 80s. I’m still pissed at Frank for leaving Bobby for Roo. That Roo, god I hated her! But Frank, aka, Alex Papps was cute as can be. That mattered to 16-year-old me.

Still loves me some Alf Stweart though:
