OMG, you are totally my new best friend! My husband and I were talking about exactly this yesterday!

I cam of age in the 70s and 80s. I'm almost 51, so Steve Martin was literally everywhere. I was not and am not impressed. I find his comedy, well, stupid. I don't see any nuance, any thought, just cheap laugh grabs for the dim witted.

I don't hate his acting so much, but I also would never make a point to see a movie with him in it.

The problem is not you. It's him.
