Personal attacks, but WWJD? It's been a while since I've read the Bible, but I have read it, more than once. And I don't recall Jesus being all about personal attacks.

You, from what you wrote (and I'm a Jewish Athiest here) are the PERFECT person to lead people. People have doubts, people have difficulty intellectually reconciling the contradictions that are rife in the Bible. People have difficultly seeing how the Bible is relevant in modern life. I'd think a person that can stand before them and say, I too have doubts, I have questions and here's how I've resolved them would be absolutely priceless.

I'm sorry you were violated in that way. To my mind and understanding of Christianaity (I was rasied strict Baptist), Jesus wasn't about coercion, threats, etc, he was more a come as you are sort of dude. That guy was no Christian, he was a judgmental asshole.
