Please don't misunderstand, I didn't settle at all. That was, apparently my poorly articulated, point (it's a long weekend, I might have indulged in an adult beverage or 3). We think we need this and that, but when you click with someone, that list is shit. At the end of the day, it's more about shared values and life goals than checkmarks on a list. I've had my shot with guys that ticked all my boxes....but they didn't tick my....okay you get it. People are people and not paper. I didn't settle, I came back home. My ex was a list person, convinced he deserved a brilliant hot young thing, for no reason, he just did. He dumped his girlfriend when he saw me because he thought I was younger and hotter. I was 10 years older than her, LOL, and she was adorable. I figure, if you find someone you click with, that you love being around, that makes you feel good about being you, burn the list. Note, those people with the lists that are sneering, are all single, just sayin'
