Revenge? Really? Does it seriously feel like that? Frustration, yes. Anger and exhaustion, yes, but I don't see it as revenge. I mean that in the sense that I don't think anyone is looking at you, individual white guy to pay a penance or "feel the pain" of racial injustice. That seems, though to be the message you're hearing.
It seems you're saying you actually feel like some of us are "in your pocket" demanding what you worked for. I find that interesting, again because I live oddly on both sides.
These are the kind of honest conversations we need to be having. So, I'll ask one more. Given the above and all we've discussed, what can we do? What I mean is, what is it the Black/POC community has said or done that has created this impression and what can we do on our end to better communicate with you and people like you who are open-minded, but see things in a vastly different way toward more understanding and toward equality?
