I'm in a strange place, looking white but not being white and having siblings and family that are Black. My sister has a 12 year old son. She's scared every day when he leaves the house. She's had to have "the Black talk" with him. I never had to do that. I've never been judged based on appearance alone. The racism I get is that sneaky covert stuff once my ethnicity is known. I can't imagine dealing with both.
Yeah, I'm sure you've dealt with some crap! I can only imagine the talking down to you and downright rudeness.
All I can do is call the shit out when I see it. I'm just sad that in 2022, almost 2023, I'm still seeing it.
